it took a little while for me to get into it but by the second half of the book I was enthralled. it is also refreshing to have a MC that has a lot of redeeming qualities.

The narrator is fine, but the story is a generic eastern story with no real soul of its own.

The depth added to the characters in this audiobook is fantastic, Travis Baldree adds seriousness, humor, thoughtfulness to an already wonderfully engaging story.

This might be the only audiobook I’ve listened to more than once, I think I’m on my 4th time through.

while the narrator tries to make the text exciting nothing happens beyond landin is weak…and doesn’t have a technique to advance… this is then repeated by everyone and everything for the next 5 hours of the book until a magic space god lady shows up. For the length of this book nothing happens.

loved everything about it, from the content to the flow and the narration. looking forward to book three

Love the characters, love the narrator. Especially love that there are more books as I am flying through them!

It starts off too slow and he And he grows too strong too fast but other than that it’s an amazing book I recommend reading the whole series

my new favorite book series! Such a fun read with a suspenseful ending. everyone will want the next book.
