I needed a break from the usual gritty apocalypse books. This was a feel good, relaxing read.Sure, it’s not entirely realistic, but it was what i needed. Moving on to Book 2.

This is one of the most entertaining series I’ve read (up there with the Spellmonger series). It has a varied and tight backstory, which is shown only in pieces throughout the series. The narrator makes this series my very favorite audiobook series (and I have listened to hundreds)!!
My favorite LitRPG author. The story and characters are engaging. Can’t wait for the next book!
The relationship between the two main characters was strange and a bit uncomfortable. Captive turned lover as a trope is just not for me. Anyway, the prose is beautiful so it is worth listening to it for the interesting descriptions alone.
