good book but the audio levels seem to fluctuate a lot. almost as if the narrator was adjusting forward or backwards from the mic. made it difficult to just zone out and enjoy be sure I had to adjust volume every now and then

The first book was absolutely great. Second book was okay. This book was way too slow and just grindy. The series has felt like an anime and until the last two chapters this book felt like a bunch of filler episodes. Hopefully book 4 redeems it.

Cultivation elements aside, it’s a good coming of age story as far as it goes (obviously this is a series, so the hero’s journey is far from complete).
