This book’s main character is a cheating, stealing snot of a little boy. He is completely unlikeable and unfortunately that’s a deal breaker for me. Do not pass this series over! What a great listen! I have plowed through this series and currently listening to Wintersteel. Simply a great writer who obviously has a sharp sense of humor. Tons of original one liners that have made me Lol many times (Not easy to make me do) This story has tons..
Great story premise. It is nice that this story a Chinese martial arts story line. The incorporation of cultivation and martial arts blends seamlessly. makes me think of “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”.

Interesting novel with some great concepts. Doesn’t shy from bold storytelling and taking the story into hairpin turns of plot. Good characters, but not ones I connected with immediately.
