It’s like a high school edge lord tried to rip off the Dresden Files. The narrator doesn’t really help matters either. The female voices are all bad. There are a few interesting ideas here but the execution is so awkward and unrefined it’s almost cringeworthy.

That’s the most critical I can be. It’s a solid series. Maybe not epic but great enough for me to buy every book in the series. My first series with Travis Baldree and I’ve really enjoyed it. There are times I forget it is the voice one talented person.

I absolutely loved this book. It was fun and brought on thoughts of my training and all those Kung Fu movies I watched growing up. Much of this was based on things taught in Chinese martial arts. Exciting, suspenseful and surprisingly funny sometimes. I am definitely going to get the entire series.
The narrator kept me interested in an already great story! I only wish it were longer! I have to wait to download more content ?
