It’s like a high school edge lord tried to rip off the Dresden Files. The narrator doesn’t really help matters either. The female voices are all bad. There are a few interesting ideas here but the execution is so awkward and unrefined it’s almost cringeworthy.

That’s the most critical I can be. It’s a solid series. Maybe not epic but great enough for me to buy every book in the series. My first series with Travis Baldree and I’ve really enjoyed it. There are times I forget it is the voice one talented person.
