I loved the voice acting in this book! The story and MC just sort of dragged in this. Not very entertaining. I cant really explain exactly why its a 3 other than saying that I cant remember what happened in the beginning or middle because it was just that bland.

hard to enjoy, the main characters biggest skill is to get beat up by everyone he fights this is not a story for throes looks looking for excitement, in a new world, this has barely any of that, is a story of a broke man barely making it by.
This book is VERY Chinese. I have no frame of reference for any of the units of measurement used. For example, how far is a thousand li? Is that similar to a thousand leagues? Miles? Kilometers? Feet? And the character names are so extremely different from anyting in the western world that even after listening..

I truly enjoyed this book, a fascinating take on fantasy based on actual concepts of eastern culture and study, perfectly blended with well written and enjoyable characters whom the narrator voiced perfectly. My compliments to the author and narrator.
