I like how the characters are older and they really fo act like it. The main character isn’t perfect but he is understandable. Narration was well done.

Good lord! This was… I have no words! This book has, hands down, the single best ending I have ever seen in my life! The cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers and I would cut off my right hand to have the next book and see what happens next!

Despite the “fantasy” setting and the Western(?) character names, I read enough Chinese novels to recognize the genre.
