The first in the series started slow, then picked up and seemed interesting at the end. I therefore got his second book. Disappointing is an understatement. I only listed to the first 2 hours. WAY TOO BORING and the story simply had no interest at all. I regret buying this series, regardless how cheap. 🙁

Bought on sale. Hasn’t absolutely captured me but since I own the whole series I’m willing to give it the college try. Definitely better than book one. Curious about book three. Character development was better this book. World and magic system are unlike anything I’ve ever been introduced to.
This is not my typical genre, but I stuck it out and ended up enjoying the story and the narration. The story is kind of cheesy sometimes but that is kind of expected in fantasy stories. Normally I like sci-fi, and I have to say the chance this book has some sort of sci-fi tie..
