Every other book was decently self contained, this book was just a tournament ending with a cliffhanger. Don’t bother.

Elements of the the way magic works feel like they have been borrowed from a couple of other books, but it has enough going on to make up for it..I like the mixture of fantasy magic and Kung fu monk mythology..I am definitely going to get the next book.

I enjoyed listening to this book but there were some little things not to my taste. Overall enjoyable though. I have the same opinion of the narration.

It definitely gets points for creativity. but it just didn’t capture me. The narrator wasn’t very engaging so maybe a different one could have helped. to be fair this isn’t my normal genre of book.

Up until recently, I was only reading the Cradle series. Now that I have read all the books, I decided to try the audible versions. I loved the first one so much that I’ve decided to go through the entire series again by audio. Travis does such a great job providing character voices and inflection…

Hardly worth the credit. Feels like he split one book into two for more credits

I had a lot of trouble following along a strange world with a deeply complex structure by a narrator that was trying to win a race! If he had slowed down not only would I have understood the story better I would have enjoyed the storytelling.

Very engaging and moves plot forward, but less so than the other books. And the ending isn’t satisfying or an ending. I’ll probably wait until the series is over to finish it so this doesn’t happen again
