Not the normal orphan kid gets strong powers, it’s the opposite, very interesting magic system and massive world building
Better than game of thrones, better than Stephen King, better than any series I’ve ever read/heard. Jeff is fantastic and the mind of Matt brings forth of so many intersecting storylines. I remain amazed.
I love this series The first time I listened to a Carl and Donut book, I thought I was hearing Cronk from Emperor’s New Groove. Whoever decided to get Patrick Warburton to narrate in this book is brilliant. I didn’t think the series could get better, but it keeps improving. BTW, this female Boomer highly..
I’m almost done with the book and right now my heart is pounding. This would be my worst nightmare. I don’t know how Carl and Donut will get out of this.

Every book is even more creative and funnier than the last. Love the readers! This one has a MTG vibe.
He took on characters very well and there was a distinct difference in them which allows you to visualize the science easier. Good job Travis!
