Excellent book performed by the best narrator I’ve found. Well worth a listen. If you like that narrator, try the Cradle series by Will Wright. Travis Baldree narrates that as well.

I loved the book. A little slow at the start, but a it drew out the backstory and what I needed to know to understand. Personally I love these cultivation novels.
A raw and powerful story about the struggle to overcome adversity, fueled by love and devotion to family. I enjoyed the hardships overcome and the change of the characters as they evolved to face their situations.
simply put, it was great and limited foul language, no sex, and a likeable character. look forward to the next one.
