the story is akin to the movie running man and it’s like in books (hunger games, red rising, etc ). it’s fun and gets more complex at a relaxing pace. the real stand out here is the narrator. holy smokes! he seems to show more of his talent as the series progresses, as well.

I have never had a book make me guffaw-laugh out loud at 1am, waking my wife up and gaining me aggro. Alpha carl and the crab… trying to do his thing… sweet god, that is one of the funniest pieces of literature I’ve ever read

I love everything about these books absolutely amazing!!! It’s a rollercoaster for sure. I highly recommend all of them.

This story portrayed Jesus in a blasphemous light and I’m not going to support it. Jesus is the way. The only way.

This whole series has been a great listen. Matt has created a whole new world unlike any other book I’ve read.

I’m not sure how Dinniman can keep this energy going so well for so long. I’m beyond excited to keep riding this wave until the end. killer performances across the board. I’ll be picking up each new title as it comes out.

really not much to add to the other reviews. Jeff Hays is brilliant and so is Matt Dinniman’s writing. Just perfection.

honestly the books have gotten so far from when they first started by a man walking into a dungeon with his cat to them having whole organizations and revel factions and wars and secrets absolutely amazing sorry for the spoilers

Surprisingly thoughtful and emotionally poignant. Excellent narration as always. Figured this would be a mindless fun listen and it’s gotten more deep and interesting each book. Highly recommended.

Love the series, but this one I had to restart it a good 10 times. What I loved about DCC is that it s always an easy and relaxing listen, this time it s complicating things for no good reason because it s not complicate at all. It also drags on and on and one..
