It’s always a treat to listen to this series. A perfect combination of comedy, drama and body horror… Kinda wacky and dark humor, so it can seem very insensitive exploring a lot of things from sex, religion, politics, and body autonomy. Surprisingly the story doesn’t feel morose, although it’s tense and grim (as in foreboding)…
Masterful Narration, a fantastic story with twists and turns, gut punches and unexpected laughs. The longer the story goes on the deeper the intrigue. The darkness gets deeper, the moments of hope brighter. Not a single boring moment to be found, and I burst out laughing many, Many times. can’t recommend this more
loved the story and both narrator and author did an excellent job! I would have loved it if they didn’t bring in the religious stuff.. it can be disrespectful to some people and not everyone appreciate the jokes when it involves some of these serious stuff.. but overall a wonderful book!

You’ll be hard pressed to find a book series in this genre (or maybe any genre) with equivalent character development, depth of storytelling, world building, action and adventure and moments that will evoke emotion form laughing out loud to shedding a tear. I love this book series I’ve listened to every book and I would definitely recommend listening to all of them. Also this was my first book narrated by Travis Baldree and now I’ve only been able to listen to his voice no one else comes close!
I loved listening to every one of theses books! It takes the listener to a different world as we follow Long wu ying through his life journey.
