Not a fan of stories that are centered around idiotic and absurdly naive MCs that’s main if only characteristic is being a good person who works hard… … about 90%+ of this story the MC gets trampled , treated like shit , and completely overrun just to have some type of last minute mostly symbolic..

the attention to detail and the layered voice acting is awesome and really makes me feel like I’m listening to something happening in to moment and not like the protagonist can’t stop time and think

compelling characters. good dialogue. good fight scenes. awesome progression. drama, quests, and for once an MC that doesn’t have their head up their own donkey. an underdog fighting against nobles, maybe not the most original, but it’s a classic for a reason.

OMG. They stressed Yu-Gi-O but Pokémon works as well. Any ways. I cried in so many places … got angry, was terrified. I love the way this author writes. And the narration is above most. The Bedlam Bride is terrifying.

But the ENDLESS fourth wall breaking asides got so tiresome. I found myself yelling at the narrator to get on with it already. IT was fine every once in a while, but with each instance, I got more annoyed. Travis Baldree can do no wrong though.

I truly do love the interaction with Carl and donut in this book. As far from I’m concerned this is a really good book and I truly enjoyed reading it. I would like more interaction with the other people in their group but knowing what is coming next I have no doubt that their will..
only problem was my uncultured, ignorant, American ears/mind struggled to differentiate between the names of people and anything overly foreign sounding. it could be Travis slurring the sounds together too much or something, though I’d bet the fault is mine. still, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment.
