I love The Correspondent. The various voices of the characters help to keep them straight and bring them to life.

Telling the life story of a person purely through their correspondence is a wonderful idea. Subtle wasn’t always likeable but she was smarty, witty, independent, and a force.

I found the complete addresses repeated each correspondence was monotonous. I see the point though.

The reader of each character was absolutely on point! Thoroughly enjoyable and Highly recommend! Yes!

Piecing Sybil’s life together by her letters was a different way of reading a book. I enjoyed doing this.

I listened to it all because it passed the time while I was working or walking, without having to listen closely. it was drawn out and. oring though

I loved everything about this book! The way the story is told through letters. The story itself with its main female character, an attorney in a time when most were males. I highly recommend this book!

This book was phenomenal and I highly recommend the audio version. Listening to all the letters being read was wonderful. Definitely worth the listen.

concept, readers, emotional story very well-read and interesting telling entirely thru correspondence in many cases, I think I may not have like this method of storytelling , but the author did a wonderful job

My experience with this book is unreservedly positive. The life of Sybil VanAntwerp, as well as those around her, being fleshed out through the protagonist’s correspondence is an interesting format.
