I didn’t know what to expect yet I sit here crying after listening to this story. I want to go grab some stationary and pen and write letters. Such a beautifully written story.

The narration of this audiobook is truly one of the best I’ve ever experienced—it brings every emotion to life in such a powerful way. The story beautifully shows how pain, if left unresolved, can harden us, but also how the courage to forgive ourselves can set us free. It’s a deeply moving reminder that healing..
I like the soothing voices of the narrator s and its calming effect. The voices fit the characters perfectly.
Sybil wasn’t particularly likable but then she would still grow and could make friends with people to whom she was initially adverse.
Sybil was selfish and everything was about her, Over and over demonstrating an inability to put herself into the position of another and relate with their experience. Never reaching out to help another other than sending a note from her safe lair.
Another great story from Alabama’s Gothic queen, Rachel Hawkins! This is more than the perfect beach read. Take this one to some place where you can’t be interrupted because you won’t want to put it down until you finish the last page.
The only part that disliked was the full description of each email subject line. If I had been reading this, I would have flown over those parts.
I absolutely adored this novel! Sent a copy to my sister as a beautiful gift. I am 76 and my sister 79….but we think like we’re still “Forever Young”
This is about a woman that I don’t think I would have liked in person but an interesting visit into her mind via the letters she wrote and received. Overall it was a bit too depressing for me.
