This was a tremendously unexpected book, despite the rave reviews; by this I mean I was so invested in the story and the characters and the beauty of it quotidian-ness. Just lovely.
Just good writing!

I really liked this, AND, I was kind of waiting for something big to happen, but it didn’t and yet it was still a really satisfying “listen”
I loved this book and the performances, although Haddie’s accent came on strong during her first appearance- Mary Land when reading the address but wasn’t consistent.
What a wonderful story. I’ve always loved writing and receiving letters, but it’s been a long long time. I truly enjoyed learning about Sybil’s life through correspondence. What a great way to tell a story. I loved every moment. One of my favorite books this year.
I’ve rarely been so engrossed in a book. I laughed at her chutzpah and grieved along with her as she allowed herself insight and tenderness. I may listen again soon!
I loved how we learned of the protagonist’s life, as well as her relations, through her correspondence and replies.
One of my favorite books I’ve ever read, I cried and laughed and it grabbed me quickly. Would recommend to anyone
I loved this woman’s story and how it was delivered by way of correspondence. Well written it portrays a woman’s love, loneliness and grief all at once.
