This was a truly beautiful book, and I can’t imagine having not listened to it. The readers were phenomenal.

Amazing plot, great twists all the way to the very end! Will be reading more by this author.

There are no words to say how much I loved the book. I thought the numerous voices added so much.

I thought the narrator who read Sybil was at times a bit affected. She sounded almost snooty.

The telling of the story through letters did not feel like a gimmick. In fact, it was absolutely perfect for this book. The characters are fully drawn and beautifully narrated. This may be the best book I’ve ever read. I can’t find words to express how meaningful it is except to say that my husband, who listened with me, cried at the end.

Have enjoyed all of Spencer Quinn’s books, including the Chet and Bernie series, his Echo Falls series, and his darker (?) books under the Peter Abrahams name. Loretta Plansky in this read is one of his most relatable characters, and it’s so easy to root for her. Great narration to boot.
