The narrators were exceptional and brought forward the depth of the author’s writing. Using this cast of narrators to illustrate the book was brilliant. I may go back and read it just to see but I can’t imagine a better experience than what I have just listened to.
The story was so real and heartwarming. Relatable especially to seniors reflecting on past and foreseeable end of life.
It was a great listen while home with a small baby. Heartwarming, sweet and a very nice story telling through letters. Highly recommend!
the different narratives. loved how they left you wondering between dates then filled in the answers.
I enjoyed using the letters to narrate the story. There were many delightful, interesting characters. My least favorite character was the main character. The author did an excellent job of detailing the life of an emotionally unavailable mother, which was challenging to read. Too little too late.
Her interaction with her family was broken and finally toward the end got the explanation. She was able to garner friendships. Her neighbor. The worker at the DNA lab. The professor Especially poignant was her closeness to the young boy and then her unexpected dialogue with a person in a past case. Great book and..
Beautiful, entertaining, funny, nostalgic, heart-warming, moving. Narration is incredible and it was just the right length. Highly recommend.
This was so good. I laughed, I cried and felt so many emotions! A great story about someone’s life through correspondents.
