I loved this, but I believe the format may be difficult for some to appreciate.
Life in Letters
Review from The Correspondent →
I liked the pace. the pauses. the moments of truth and self reflection. The moments of forgiveness! The times of grief! The romance. The description of the settings around the world. Most of all, the narrators. This book has inspired me to write to a couple of friends- pen to paper, right now!
The story was magnificent! So well written & so well read. Very compelling and kept my attention the entire time! Beautiful!
I really liked the use of characters to tell the story from this perspective. Moving, realistic story.
I did not think that I could enjoy a book written entirely in letters; but after about 5 or 6 chapters, I was completely drawn into the story of these characters. I grew so fond of the main character, I found myself wanting to adopt letter-writing. Even in the most painful and seemingly hopeless parts..
Loved the story and as a letter writer, can connect to Sybil. The cast was excellent in this audiobook.
I enjoyed this thoroughly. I loved hearing the different voices which gave me a deeper sense of each character. I was deeply touched by Sybil’s desire to continue learning and growing and deepening her connections with those she holds dear.
The narration (especially Sybil’s) is so spot on that I am sure I gained much more than if I had read it myself.
