Just couldn’t get into it because it was so laborious. The story could have been told in under half of the time it took.
Too Drawn Out!

All of us can look back on our lives and reflect on what we would’ve done differently and what we wish had never happened. All of us can relate to some of the things that happened to Sybil and they make us think about our own lives, it is a wonderful book.
As an epistolary novel, it builds layer upon layer until you know the characters so well that you inhabit their world, past and present. A deeply affecting tour de force. The several narrators were superb.
The cast of readers was excellent. The story evolved, in a unique and interesting manner, which I quite enjoyed. I’ve been inspired to write a few more letters!
Whole book was man-bashing (except the ones they loved), political issues shoved down your throat and the overall story wasn’t original…Practical Magic with murder. Don’t waste your time or credit. ONLY good thing about this book was the narrators, they were excellent.
Touching and engrossing epistolary novel that brings its characters to glorious life, especially through audio, and particularly its uniquely idiosyncratic female protagonist,
Amazing book! Ms. Evans has captured in words the layers and complexities of a person in ways that embraces all of humanity and encourages us to look deeper into each person we encounter. Highly recommend and the audible version one of the best productions I’ve had the pleasure of listening to.
