This book is insufferable. None of the people in the story can do anything without deep emotional introspection. If people like that exist in the real world I hope I never meet them. This was all normal life shit turned into some meaningless melodrama.

The distinct voices bring it to life …. Intricately woven narrative through a series of letters and emails. A lovely listen.

This book was so incredibly boring. I kept waiting for it to get better but the senseless chatter amongst the characters was not interesting. Are these reviews for real?

Love the format of the book and it is extremely well performed. Well “cast” with a dozen readers. Multiple story lines, all interesting, well developed and closure for each. Looking forward to Ms. Evans next effort.

I believe this story would have been better read rather than listened to. With over 14 different characters, it is hard to keep track of how all the characters are connected and who the characters are.

The connection with my own life and travels through the years spent and those that come.

Enjoyed the letters format of telling a woman’s life history – individual short stories but all tied together. Very real, relatable characters. Themes of tragedy, forgiveness, new beginnings, and life long relationships.

Such a good listen, the twist was great and a surprise, I didn’t catch on till a couple sentences prior!

The structure of the book is interesting, telling the story only through letters and emails. Some of the characters were very likable, but the main character, Sybil, continued to be rather cold and self-absorbed, even though she did improve. I feel like the large number of characters worked against the author being able to show..
