Beautiful story. Wonderfully written. Phenomenal narration. I highly recommend this book and recommend the audio version
I loved the honesty. And the primary character’s descriptions of feelings and events were exceptional.
Loved the character development and quiet but riveting plot development. The epistolary form is so old it feels fresh!
Very delightful , especially the emotional tones. Excellent read for senior women’s bookclub. We’re going to read it in mine!
I had forgotten just how deeply I enjoy epistolary novels. The last time I picked one up, other than the Bible, was back in the early ’90s with Griffin and Sabine and I Never Came to You in White, both unforgettable reads from my college days. There’s something special about letters in a story; it..
Tender story in a wonderful telling about the complexity and surprises of aging. Think the narration was hands-down my favorite audiobook ever.
Genuinely heartfelt. Raw and honest but still very hopeful. I typically don’t enjoy books written via correspondence because they often lack any real sense of setting, atmosphere, physical traits of characters, etc. However, the character development was so superb that I felt as if the protagonist was a close friend.
