Once I got used to writing style, reading letters, very sweet and it made me cry. Very good book club read.

Be prepared to be surprised and delighted with this little gem of a novel. And break out the tissues at the end.

5 stars. I loved it. I became invested in Sybil Van Antwerp’s story as it unfolded. I feel as though I knew each character and looked forward to the next letter/email exchange.

Too much of above, otherwise excellent, complex, poignant, Some of the men characters ran together.

I can’t believe how much I’ve loved this book. Period. It makes me want to start writing letters lol. Highly highly recommend.

This is another great immersive book from Cara Bastone! The way she brings people to life is unique and wonderful

I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy this book, being drawn more to fantasy and hard science fiction, but honestly I couldn’t stop listening to Sybil’s story. So enjoyed the various narrators. Sybil was a hoot in so many ways but the underlying theme was heartbreaking.
