I enjoyed the presentation. The letters written back and forth is unique. I also always enjoy a story that includes the area in which I grew up.
Loved the narration and the story, so simple and intricate descriptions of one’s life but it kept me wanting to know more and more.
I wasn’t sure I would like the letter style, but it was so good. Such a wonderful and different way to present a story of Sybil’s life.
I had no idea what this book was about when I started it, but was immediately charmed by Sybil and her letter writing. I didn’t realize how the author was leading me down a path, of course she was, to an amazing story. Absolutely loved all the voices.
Characters deep and real. Especially liked how the main character examined her life and made amends for past shortcomings and mistakes in relationships. All seniors can relate to this story and perhaps be inspired to write letters to old friends!
At first I wasn’t too sure if I was going to get into this book but once I did I could not put it down! it was so good.
Lots of life lessons can be learned in this story. Very interesting with the letters back-and-forth. Oh how we grow and change and learn during our lives. Live, love, communicate, take chances. This story has it all.
