The story is good. Some of the writing is weak and the narration is overly dramatic
Poor narration good story
Review from Love, Mom →
I especially loved the many different people Sybil corresponded with throughout the novel. Each relationship revealed another layer of her personality and made the story feel rich and deeply personal. I could picture Sybil so clearly while reading that I honestly felt like I had met someone just like her before. The novel beautifully captures..
Loved this unique and fun book. How delightful that the story is told through letters without narration, but the characters are fully developed. Masterfully voice acted.
Well, I guess there was a story here but it was muddled and jumbled and the characters were shallow and far too vague for my liking. Good try, though.
The Correspondent was presented by several different people reading each character and it made the book so much more interesting to listen to than it was to just read it.
Reader made it awful. I kept trying to finish but couldn’t get through it. I may attempt to read it later.
