Review from From Garden to Grave →
Verity is back in this third book in The Leafy Hollow Mysteries series. Was it an accident… suicide… or murder? Even though Verity wants to steer clear, she somehow gets caught up in the investigation. Rickie Blair has kept things fun and interesting in this cozy mystery. The quirky characters and plot twists will keep..
TRULY ENJOYING THIS SERIES, ITS UNIQUE STORYLINE, AND, YES, QUIRKY CHARACTERS. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT IS IN STORE FOR THEM IN THEIR NEXT ADVENTURE.
AFTER A SLIGHTLY SLOW START IN HER FIRST BOOK, THIS ONE WAS GREAT. THE STORYLINE AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT WERE ENTERTAINING. THE RELATIONSHIP TRIANGLES ARE HEATING UP (ALBEIT SLOWLY, IN SOME CASES), AND THE MYSTERIES SURROUNDING VERITY’S AUNT AND “CONTROL” ARE CERTAINLY GETTING INTERESTING. ON TO BOOK 3!
I RATED THE BOOK A 4 RATHER THAN 5 BECAUSE IT TOOK TOO LONG TO GET TO THE POINT. I GREW WEARY OF THE REPETITIVE YARD WORK ISSUES AND OTHER REDUNDANCIES OR DETAILS THAT DELAYED MOVING THE ACTUAL STORY. HAVING SAID THAT, I REALIZE FIRST BOOKS IN A SERIES OFTEN HAVE SOME OF THESE ISSUES,..
As always these stories are well worth the time to listen. Light, easy to understand. Gets you involved with the characters.
I enjoyed the characters in this book. They were interesting and the storyline was good. It made for a good mystery. The narrator was excellent. She was easy to listen to and did a wonderful job with the characters. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or..
I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions expressed herein are my own. This is the first book in the Leafy Hollow Mysteries. For the most part, it is a standalone book – with the main mystery solved. The questions related to the MC’s aunt are left open-ended..
Verity is once again thrust into the hands of the elusive control organization. Her romance with Jeff is still new. Then one day a strange man shows up at her house when Jeff was there. Brian, Verity’s blast from the past, shows up and tilts her into a kiss right in front of Jeff. One..
This is the first in the series, The Leafy Hollow Mysteries, and the first I have read/listened by Rickie Blair. It’s a fast-paced mystery with quirky characters. The story was interesting and had plenty of suspects other than Verity. I rate this 4.5 therefore, I must round up. I liked how Verity grows through the..
