I loved the variety of voices to go with each letter. Sybil was especially good.

The performance was fantastic. I love a good graphic audio and this one was IT. Probably will be one of my favorites forever.

The way the story came together to develop the deeply complex main character who on the surface seemed curmudgeonly but was really not.

All of it was a great story and well told with and epic story of one woman’s life

Beautiful story. Holds out hope for growth even in old age. Right on casting of characters. Constrained emotions but so in character with folks of this generation. Best this year without question.

This was a very different format for a novel and it took me at least 30minutes or an hour to get into it. I kept waiting for the novel to start, but it was just letters telling the story. After an hour, I was absolutely engaged and when it ended, I wanted more. This author..

What a beautiful, deeply touching tale. We never know someone fully, do we? We rarely even know ourselves. This book was a surprise on so many levels, from start to finish. And it has spurred me to take up letter writing again! I will wait eagerly for Evans’ next book.

The story unfolds sweetly through a series of letters. There was good character development with each correspondence. The descriptive text placed the listener in the scene along with the characters. A nice read.
