I listened without knowing anything about it beforehand. Beautiful book and perfectly performed. The back and forth with timeliness really helped to make the story grow in wonderful ways.

I listened without knowing anything about it beforehand. Beautiful book and perfectly performed. The back and forth with timeliness really helped to make the story grow in wonderful ways.
This book had sorrow, greif, joy, hope, connection, everything! It brought me to tears several times. Wonderful performance of all characters. Loved every second of it.
I cannot imagine reading this book, although I most likely will. The audible version was so amazing and having each character portrayed by their voice actor brought the story so much life!
I really enjoyed the letter-writing style of this novel. I love the writer’s perspective on life and the emphasis placed on the fleeting nature of the life we all share. It serves as a reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. Who really knows what happens after death?
After reading the raving reviews, I expected to enjoy the story a lot more than I did. It did hold my attention, but it didn’t keep me at the edge of my seat. The writing was also really basic, which is always a let down for me. The characters were two dimensional, without a lot..
The main character was self-centered and mean. Extremely intelligent, but her personality made her lonely until the end and then it was too late.
I especially loved the narration – you really got a feel for the characters and their personalities.
I never write reviews, but this book deserves it. The cast was incredible. The main character’s personal evolution and sheer complexity make her one of the most relatable people I’ve met in a book. She’s real…the good, the bad, the ugly, and all the shades within. This will be one of my top 5 audio..
There were some concerns about the style, telling a story through a series of letters but the author was able to develop authentic characters through these exchanges. I appreciated the author creating an imperfect lead character that made this such a touching human story — highly recommend
