I’m writing this review late, after finishing the entire DCC series up to this date (June 2026). Dropped off on writing as I tore through the books, which says a lot about the level of enjoyment I have had with them.

At some point these books move away from a fun romp through a chaotic world turned upside down and into an absolute teardown of a lot of the Western world with its never ending focus on corporations over people, untamed growth over care for what is there. Through this, Dinniman does a great job in bringing in stories with characters that no matter how ridiculous are points where the reader can care about them.
