Very good book, even if it doesn’t fully succeed in supporting its thesis

This book is essential reading for anyone concerned about where AI is heading. While it never actually succeeds in showing how the destruction of humanity is an inevitable result, it does succeed in identifying the very difficult dangers involved and how little control we will have over machines that are smarter than us. And the book is easy to digest for a layperson.

So even if you are skeptical about the book’s central claim, it is a worthy read just to get a good sense of the dangers involved.
