as a child I was born into the crack epidemic in 1980s Los Angeles. One of my parents struggles with the drug to this day. drugs and poverty we’re well known to me. I was blessed to be pulled out if that life style and the area by the grace of god and my mother seeking a better life for me and herself. but I never forgot the people and the scene of my youth. I grew up wondering how a drug could do so much damage in a home and lead people so far from love and happiness. I also struggled with addiction to the same drug briefly after leaving the military. to me this is a great bit of insight to how this particular drug flooded into homes like mine and another price to the puzzle of poverty, addiction and escaping both. great read, glad Rick Ross landed on his feet and was given a chance to give back.
