The narration is okay at best. It is a very flat reading without a lot of emotion. I had to check to make sure I didn’t get one of the “Read by AI voice” titles I’ve seen show up on audible lately.
The story is okay and not a bad pick-up on sale. The MC motivations are okay and read a little flat. The rest of the story feels a little forced toward the end. The last battle just goes on for a bit too long and I think the story takes a strong turn into body horror than standard LitRPG faire. That’s why it gets four stars in my book. Never read/listened to a LitRPG horror story.
