Narration is a little better on this title.
The story is continuing down a forced path. The MC is painted as a very OP character who is very capable and has lived on his own for a decade, but suddenly he is bending over backwards for a guild and a merchant who haven’t done a thing for him? One of them is actively trying to screw him over when he has a lead for his main goal and a plan to execute to get him there? It really doesn’t make a lot of sense given the MC’d background. Seems like the logical choice would be to say bugger off to the politics and noble connections and trek across the world to his objective with all the money he has. Seems like shoe-horned interactions to make a story rather than logical/natural progression.
