Up to this point, I’d rate the series as a whole as 4 stars. This book had some impressive layers of intricacy in the plot, which I enjoyed. I don’t know whether or not the author plans another book in the series or if this is the finale, but either way, the ending to Crucible made me wish I had never even started the series – I reacted that strongly to it.
