If you like the LitRPG genre, “He Who Fights With Monsters” is imminently better. This is good too, but monotonously silly. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a book character more than this cat. I like Carl but the cats constant need to monologue instead of survive, really gets old. I think the story would be a lot better if she died.
