One of the final lines of this chapter in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series is about the audience not really feeling this level of the dungeon because it is too complicated. That felt rather meta, and I sense that Dinniman knew readers might have a hard time following this particular plot.

Me. I am one of those readers. Listening to the description on audiobook probably didn’t help with visualizing this level, and add to that the fact that I’m just not that excited by trains, and ultimately there were great big chunks of this novel that I was only barely processing.

That said, there were also some pretty freaking amazing scenes and unforgettable NPCs that made the slog over the rails worth the effort. Growler Gary, we will always honor your great sacrifice.
