if you’re looking for a five book series that focuses on a certain set of main characters for the first four books, then basically completely ignores them and makes them side characters for the last book, this one’s for you.

The author spent the first four books focusing on the three brothers who are the main characters and their adventures only two basically completely ignore them in the fourth book in favor of all new characters and essentially a different storyline.

at one point in the fifth book which really didn’t have much to do with the first four, the main villain has a sit-down chat at a cafe with a space alien? and then no mention of the aliens are ever made again.

The main final battle was essentially fought by incidental characters who were barely mentioned in the rest of the story. it’s like the author got bored of the main characters after four books and was done with them completely.

I really loved the first four books, but it’s like a completely different person wrote the last book. I really don’t get it.

it was also hard to follow the story at times because the narrator didn’t differentiate voices or accents between any of the characters.
