This book was fantastic! I have loved every book that I have read or listened to by this author, but I still was a bit nervous as I began to read this one. I knew that there was going to be angst and angry feelings from the past on the part of the MMC and I wasn’t sure if I was up for that at the time I was starting the story. And, of course, there were those things because they were an important part in bringing the main characters back together.
But one of the things I loved about this story was the pining that these two were doing for each other. Even as Jett didn’t want to admit to himself what he was feeling, it was there nonetheless. There were so many moments where you could feel how close Jett and Ava had once been by the way they knew and reacted to each other. It took a while for things to truly work out for them and for both of them to talk things through, forgive and move forward. But it was so worth it!
I’m looking forward to reading my way through the rest of the series. The narrators did a wonderful job with these characters, too!
