This one left me swooning, gasping and broke my heart a time or two, but never failed to fix it all in the end. Jaymes is a traveling nurse set on seeing the world and ends up at a house with three other roommates. The only rule is to not “date” roommates which of course seems easy, until fate steps in and has other plans for you. And when I say fate, I mean. FATE. When you read a Jewel E Ann Book, you know you will get some sort of magic and believe me there is magic here.

Calvin Fitzgerald is broody, unapproachable and off limits, but Jaymes sees a side of him that he doesn’t show others. He doesn’t want a future with anyone, but little by little Jaymes gets under his skin give him a glimpse of what could be if he let himself open up.

I can’t give too much away here because, you just have to read it to understand the intricacies we are dealing with here. The lines woven through fate here that cross and interconnect. There was one part that made me irrevocably sad, but I do understand grief makes you probably not give the best life advice when you are in the throes of it. I do think life sends you the things you need the most even if you don’t believe it and that is exactly what happened here.
