This book was so interesting- the style of the writing made it unique, and the story telling felt natural and fast paced yet soothing and exploratory of dense themes. While it’s clear that grief is its most overarching theme, I feel that genuine human connection and intimacy were the real underlying pillars of this story. I was recommended this book after finishing Braiding Sweetgrass, and I wondered why. But after finishing this, the feeling of wisdom I got from this book is very similar. This book taught me about the reality in a way only a really good story can.
