First, the book itself is misleading in that if it were being truthful, instead of a picture of a cat and a dog (which really had nothing to do with the story other than “cameo” appearances), the cover would show a bunch of 80 year old ladies squabbling about money.
The book is a “whodunnit”, about elderly southern belles who are trying to off one another for a larger piece of inheritance. The book has an extremely slow, plodding pace, no characters that I can really identify with, and also no ending. The book just kind of ends with very few things tied up, and us not really understanding what the killer’s motivation was (or even for certain who did the murders, there was just an accusation). Awful, awful book.
