- What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
- The narrator was terrible! He made Charles sound like an old man, and the women voices sounded like my brothers when they mimic mocked girls.
- Would you be willing to try another book from Danelle Harmon? Why or why not?
- Maybe, although this story had a lot of potential it fell flat in awkward silences way too much.
The character Amy got anoying very quickly, and then the book continued to long to ware Charles even became anoying. - How did the narrator detract from the book?
- This narrator is so terrible. Normally I deal with a narrator, and let them grow on me. But throughout the whole book I could not picture Charles as a younger man of late twenties, because he sounded like he was 85.
- What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
- This book did inspire a few tears which is saying A LOT. It was hard to take the stoy seriously when I was rolling my eyes about the intense irony of the voices, and how they didn’t fit the mood or the setting.
