A waste of $15! The MMC is 43 and FMC is 21, but they both act like 14. I only made it to chapter three but I can’t go any further. He’s stalked her for a year but had no idea he was into her, the has this weird meltdown revelation when he finally realizes he likes her and the whole thing is awkwardly dramatic, especially for a 40 y/o. She’s had a crush on him since she was 13 and every morning he’s there when she opens her coffee shop and he comes back to lock up and help her clean every night before walking her out to her car, but she had no idea he might even know her name. When he finally starts acting weirdly territorial out of nowhere, for the life of her she cannot think of why. It’s just too much. No one is that dumb and for the entirety of the book (again I admittedly only read the first three chapters) she demands not to be treated like a child and even says she’s “21, mature and worldly” but she acts like a petulant child in the same breath. This could have been a good storyline, but I’m not feeling this book and unfortunately the narrators are just as painstaking to listen to.
