First, I’ll say I finished it.
The premise of telling the story through letters and correspondence is very clever and works well. It was a great way to communicate how the protagonist could be close with strangers and not her own children.
Especially at the beginning, I didn’t find the language of the protagonist to be consistent with her self-image.
I thought the key actors over-acted, telling ordinary updates in dramatic tones.
Not sure how different the experience would have been had I read instead of listened to this.
