I really tried, but 12 or 13 chapters in and I just could not get into this book. There’s some bit of jumping around in the timeline that makes it confusing. I don’t know if it’s the writing, or if parts of the book were left out when it uploaded? A few times, there is mention of the old alpha, Heath, being deceased, before she returned to the pack, yet later in another chapter the FMC is suddenly a call girl on a date with him where she’s slipping something into his drink and he later ended up unalived, but not by her? I’m wondering if I got an old, unedited, version of the book somehow? How can he be previously deceased, and then on a date with her? And unfortunately, the narrator made the story boring. Everything is said very hum drum, very little emotion. It’s not monotone, it’s just lacking any energy. Sorry, I wanted to like it, I just couldn’t.
