Narrator is great, story is absurd. At no point do I care about any of these characters. They all think dumb things. They say dumb things. They all DO dumb things. By the end of book 1 I disliked Dan. By the middle of book 2, I wanted him dead. I prayed for the death of most of the characters. I actually cheered aloud when Bird died. Truly an awful story. The way of Dan is that Dan is an obnoxious dim bulb, a junkie, an alcoholic and a cun*. If the author had left out pot smoking and drinking, this series would have been 10 hours shorter. Truly dismal. These books should come with a written apology to the listener. However, the Author likely doesn’t have the talent to write it.
