That prologue was another life ago but it captured my attention and held it all the way until the end of the story. Crayton and Bex’s story is built on tortured pasts, tragedy, childhood trauma (which is told through flashbacks) and bullying. Crayton is dark and morally gray at best. Bex is the light that could bring this bad boy to his knees. Their story is captivating with lots of twists and turns. While this did not end in a real cliffhanger, their story is not quite complete so I would expect there will be a follow-up in future books in this series for them as supporting characters. I’m looking forward to Saint and Hendrix’s story which appears to be the next book in the series. Both Cecily Foster and Michael Norman Johnson did a great job bringing these characters to life.
