Days End

While the story is creative and entertaining it took me a long time to get into it. The story grabs you from the start with “This was to be his last day on earth”. Then basically slows down and slowly builds back up again. The story switches back and forth in the beginning in a confusing/choppy kind of way, because your not sure what is going on or who the players are. Which works great in many stories but just felt off for me in this story. Once the story gets going though it is a very entertaining, interesting, engaging and enjoyable listen. Plenty of twists and turns to keep the story moving.

The story has a little bit of everything romance, mystery, religion, politics, science and more.

A little less detail in some areas would have been better.

Kevin Gallagher does a good job with the narration. This is the first time I have heard him narrate a book. Pleasant voice, smooth even pace and clearly spoken. Really good character voices. Overall very enjoyable narrator to listen to.
