The overall plot was interesting, and I liked the story pacing (a balance between slice-of-life with a good sprinkling of adventure). That said, there were a few negatives, including the late introduction of an oh so sultry beautiful etc etc character for the 18 year male MC to drool over going into the next book. Also, the number of balls jokes was…a lot.
